The Music

The intention with The Ballad of Des & Mo was to always include a broad mix of unsigned music that would appeal to audiences and take bands to a bigger audience. As always, The Benja Men was present, appearing as background music in scenes and then in the closing credits. Perhaps the most notable was Kate Goes, who open the film with their humorously melancholic ‘Heartbeart’. The plan was to help take the audience from the 72 project to the music and vice versa – an important method of developing an audience through endorsement!  You can find more about the artists on the soundtrack by visiting them here:
