Berlinale weekend round-up

It’s been an exhausting few days. Today felt like I was Ray Liotta in the closing twenty minutes of Goodfellas. No meatballs, cocaine or helicopters, but plenty of rushing around.

It’s been a useful trip. I’ve had the opportunity to catch up with old faces and new, which has been great. The thing that stands out for me the most is the need to clearly articulate what we are doing with the 72 project. The market place is so crowded that it is difficult to establish yourself within it. When I get twenty minutes with someone they become interested and enthralled, but in most circumstances you have a 7 second soundbite and a log line. We may need to do some work on this front in the coming weeks.

I’d love to write more this evening but I am genuinely exhausted and I have an early flight in the morning. Like I said, no meatballs, no cocaine, no helicopters. Tonight I will mostly be wrestling too many objects into my hand luggage. So rock and roll that it hurts.
